EVALUATING OF THE ECONOMIC HOUSING PROJECTS IN THE EGYPTIAN CITIES BASED ON THE POPULATION REQUIREMENTS (MINIA NEW CITY AS A CASE STUDY)

Abstract

Housing is not just walls and engineering designs, but is an integrated life of housing, work, services, activities and integrated urban environment, The concept of housing in many countries has become much more comprehensive than the simple considerations that can be defined the same housing as the definition extended to include the possibility of achieving housing for economic, social and urban needs including the location and basic services, transport and public facilities. Some have identified the housing problem in general as a study of housing market problems in which the people can get adequate house meets their economic, social and urban requirements. So housing is an interconnected system with many elements and depends on its application to a range of sciences such as urbanization, sociology, economics, architecture, interior design and politics, and sometimes it seems necessary to know all these systems and aspects to solve one of housing problems. It has been found that the housing policies adopted in some countries, including Egypt, do not cover some or all of these aspects, resulting in the emergence of many housing problems in each of them, especially in the field of affordable housing projects. The research focused on monitoring, studying and evaluating these problems in some housing projects implemented in the new Egyptian cities, specifically in the new Minia city

Research Problem: Despite the state's interest in the establishment of many economic housing projects in the new Egyptian cities recently, many of these projects did not meet some of the necessary requirements for the young, low-income groups like social, economic and urban terms. The study focused on this problem through analysis and evaluating some economic housing projects that have been established in New Minia  city.
Objective of the research: Study some of the economic housing projects implemented in the New Minia  city, and to extrapolate the opinion of the population of these projects to assess their suitability to meet their social, economic and urban requirements, and try to reach the most important success points that helps to achieve economic housing appropriate to the requirements of the population in the New Egyptian cities in general and particular in the New Minia  city through integrated housing projects that meet the desired requirements for low-income groups.
Research Methodology: The methodology used in this research paper was based on theoretical thought and its emphasis on practical reality, using the descriptive method in explaining the subject of the study by gathering information about the problems of economic housing in Egypt, and the housing problem in Minia  city, then using the applied field method in conducting a study to monitor and identify problems faced by the population in economic housing projects in the new Minia  city and conduct a questionnaire for a sample of the population, Then the analytical approach to analyze and evaluate the economic housing projects in the new Minia  city by analyzing the questionnaire of some residents and researcher field visits to the project sites, to monitor the strengths and weaknesses that can be taken in future projects, and then to reach a set of results from the research and make some recommendations that helps the economic housing projects to meet the urban requirements and the desired economic and social suitability of the low-income group < /li>
